New Orleans Saints Add Defensive Tackle La'Roi Glover to Hall of Honor

The New Orleans Saints announced Saturday morning that they have added former defensive tackle La'Roi Glover to the team's Hall of Honor inside the club's Metairie training facility.

Glover will be introduced the team by Coach Sean Payton at the Sunday practice and then will be introduced Monday night right before the game against the New England Patriots.

"La'Roi was a player who made a tremendous impact on our club and was big part of the team that brought New Orleans its first ever playoff win," owner Tom Benson said in the press release issued by the team. "He was a favorite of the fans and he is well-deserving of this place among the best players in club history with photos in the hallway where our current players work each day."

Glover played for the Saints from 1997-2001 and was voted to two Pro Bowls (2000, 2001). He had 318 tackles, 50 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

Benson created the Hall of Honor in 2004 as way for the team to personally honor former players, staff and coaches. To date the Hall has 20 players, including Glover and one head coach (Jim Mora) and one general manager (Jim Finks).
