La’Roi Glover is a retired Defensive Tackle who played for the Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and St. Louis Rams over the span of his 13 seasons in the NFL. During his NFL career he was a four-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl selection.

Glover was born in San Diego and after being a USA Today second-team All-America selection in High School went to San Diego State University, where he was a four- year starter and later earned his degree with a double major in public administration and sociology.

Glover was selected by the Raiders with the 34th pick in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft. After one year in Oakland, Glover signed with the Saints in 1997. During his Time in New Orleans, Glover was nominated by teammates for the Saints "Man of the Year" and "Unsung Hero" awards in 1999, was named Saints Defensive MVP in 2000, and was selected for his first two Pro Bowls after the 2000 and 2001 seasons.

Glover joined the Cowboys in 2002 and was with the team through 2005, earning Pro Bowl honors at the conclusion of each of those seasons. In 2006 he signed a three-year contract with the Rams and was selected to his 6th straight Pro Bowl in 2006.

Fulfilling an intense desire to share the fruits of his on-field success, Glover established The La’Roi Glover Foundation in 1999. The foundation provides scholarships to students in San Diego, works with the San Diego community to provide for individuals and families in need, and supports nonprofit organizations that assist deserving children in achieving their academic goals.

Glover retired from the NFL on June 22, 2009. He and his wife, Spring have three children, La’Roi Jr, Neomie, and Sophia.
