Triple Play: How partnering with a sports team can help your business
NJ Biz July 5, 2015
Triple Play is a weekly NJBIZ feature that asks top executives in New Jersey to talk about three things related to their industry.
Ralph Vuono is a vice president at 16W Marketing in Rutherford, a full service sports marketing company. 16W Marketing facilitated the partnership between the New York Giants and Quest Diagnostics for the naming rights of the Giants’ training facility.
We asked Ralph what are three ways a partnership with a sports organization can benefit your business:
The obvious: It instantly increases your brand awareness within the respective market. If the sports organization’s fanbase aligns with your target demographic, a sports sponsorship is a tangible asset which greatly increases your ability to engage your customer.
Increases internal corporate morale: “An organization that plays together stays together.” Very few opportunities provide you with traditional media benefits while supplying you with several assets that can be used to reward your employees.
Increase in revenue: Engaging your customers through a property your customers consider to be their “passion” while simultaneously providing a morale boost to your workforce is typically a recipe for revenue increases.
